Graeme Taylor is the DEH’s resident equine dental technician. He has been working with horses for nearly 30 years from which 10 years have been as an equine dentist. Graeme works with hand floating tools for routine dental maintenance and power tools for the more advance work.
Equine dentistry is an important part of keeping your horse healthy and in top condition. Without proper dental maintenance a horse can develop injuries and soreness within the oral cavity (buccal-cheek mucosa ulceration and laceration of the tongue) causing discomfort during exercise.
